What theme is best supported by the story the bachelor tells in "The Storyteller”?

The bachelor’s story features Bertha, a girl praised for being exceptionally good. She is so proud of her medals that she becomes careless, and a wolf eats her after spotting the medals through the bushes. The story therefore supports the theme “Pride comes before a fall,” rather than simply teaching that wolves are dangerous.
