At Revolt ("Revolt", "we", "us"), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, our browser extension (including the Chrome Web Store listing "RevoltX"), our userscript, and related services (together, the "Service"). 2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Email address, username, and password (stored in hashed form) when you create an account, plus any license or access key.
• Linked Learning Accounts: When you choose to connect a learning platform (such as Edgenuity, Edmentum, Subject, or Brightspace), we collect the account identifiers needed to link it. If you use features or services that act on your behalf, you may provide login credentials and/or we may temporarily use your authenticated session so the Service can perform the tasks you request.
• Payment Information: Processed securely through third-party payment processors. We do not store full card numbers.
• Support Communications: Messages, and any files you attach, when you contact support or use in-product chat.
• Optional Linked Profiles: If you sign in with Google or link your Discord account, we receive your email and basic profile information from that provider.

2.2 Coursework and Educational Data

To provide the Service, we process content from the learning platforms you use, including questions, answer options and images, the correct and submitted answers, scores, grades and progress, essays and written responses, notes, transcripts, and assignment instructions or files you upload.

2.3 Session Recordings and Live Features

Some features — such as support, troubleshooting, live monitoring, and remote assistance — may capture recordings of your Service session or relevant page activity (including on-screen content and page URLs) and, where you use real-time features, stream that content so it can be reviewed or assisted with. These recordings are retained for a limited period (see Section 7).

2.4 Automatically Collected Information

• Usage Data: Features used, session duration, and interaction patterns.
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, extension version, and device or instance identifiers.
• Log Data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To perform the learning-platform tasks and automation you request

In addition, we may disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Revolt, our users, or others, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. AI Processing

Certain features send content you provide — such as questions, prompts, essays, and images — to third-party AI providers listed above so we can generate responses. This content is processed to return results to you and may be logged for a limited period to operate and improve the feature. We do not control how each provider independently handles data under its own terms; we encourage you to review their policies.

6. Data Storage and Security

We store data in our hosted databases and file storage described above, and we implement appropriate technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure — to protect it. The extension also stores some data locally in your browser (such as your authentication token, access key, preferences, and cached answers) so the Service can function. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Key retention periods:
