What information did you include in your response?
Compare and contrast mitosis and meiosis. Be sure to include at least two similarities and three differences.
Mitosis results in cells that are identical to the parent, whereas in meiosis, the daughter cells are gametes with half the genetic material as the parent. In meiosis, cells undergo two rounds of division. In mitosis, they go through one. Mitosis is the driving mechanism in asexual reproduction, whereas, meiosis produces gametes for sexual reproduction.
