Answer
A
It will replace the satellite Explorer 1.
B
It will capture an asteroid to collect samples.
C
It will have new and improved safety features.
D
It will be useful in the Journey to Mars program.
E
It will serve some of the functions of the space shuttle.
Explanation
Orion is designed with improved crew safety features and to support NASA’s Journey to Mars program. It is also intended to take over some crew-transport functions once handled by the space shuttle. Orion will not replace the Explorer 1 satellite, and it will not capture an asteroid; a separate robotic spacecraft would do that.
