Once, I played video games for so long that my fingers cramped up, and I couldn't write for a week!

This is a funny story because it describes a personal, exaggerated experience: playing video games so long that the speaker’s fingers cramped and they couldn’t write for a week. It is not a call to action, which asks someone to do something, or a straightforward fact.
