You want to e-mail your grandparents a recording of your pieces for your upcoming piano recital. Which audio file format will allow your grandparents to download the files, considering they have an older computer with a slower Internet connection?

MP3 uses lossy compression, which makes audio files much smaller than uncompressed PCM WAV files or lossless formats such as ALAC and FLAC. Smaller files take less time and bandwidth to download, which is especially helpful with an older computer and a slower Internet connection. The best choice is MP3.
