Which of the following statements about current theories on global warming is true?

Scientists generally agree that global warming is taking place, making choice A correct. There is strong scientific evidence that Earth’s average temperature is rising, and that human activities such as burning fossil fuels contribute to the trend. Choice D is false because burning fossil fuels releases heat-trapping greenhouse gases, and deforestation can add to the problem by reducing the number of trees that absorb carbon dioxide.
