What is the overall theme of the Sistine Chapel paintings?

The Sistine Chapel paintings explore religious stories about creation, humanity’s fall, and the relationship between God and people. David and Goliath is not the overall theme of the paintings, so “all of the above” is not correct. The best answer is “God’s relationship to man.”
