Brightspace Hacks: What Actually Works (2026)

Brightspace (made by D2L) is the learning platform behind a lot of online schools, including TRECA Digital Academy (TDA) in Ohio. If you've searched for a Brightspace hack, you've seen the same recycled advice: inspect element, answer keys, tab tricks. Most of it doesn't work. Here's what fails, what actually works, and one thing to know first: Revolt supports TDA's Brightspace at tda.brightspace.com, not every school's Brightspace site.

Brightspace 'hacks' that don't work

• •Inspect element answer reveals: Brightspace grades quizzes on its servers. The correct answers aren't in the quiz page, so there's nothing to unhide.
• •Answer keys and Quizlet sets: teachers pull questions from pools and shuffle answer order, so someone else's answer list rarely lines up with your quiz.
• •Spamming Next to skip topics: Brightspace only counts a topic complete when you've actually done it, so skipped videos and unfinished activities still show up in Class Progress.
• •Pasting ChatGPT answers into written responses: teachers read written answers, and raw AI text is easy to spot.
• •Free 'Brightspace bots' from Discord DMs: most are fake, and some steal your logins. Never run a script from a stranger.

What actually works on TDA: Revolt

Revolt runs on TDA's Brightspace through the Revolt script, in your own browser, doing what you'd do: playing the lesson, answering the quiz, turning in the dropbox. Here it is moving through a Physical Science course, then finishing an OST practice test with a 10 out of 10.

• •Auto Exam answers Brightspace quizzes, including multiple choice, select all that apply and written responses. It waits for every answer to save, then submits.
• •Möbius math assignments are answered, and each answer is checked with How Did I Do? before Revolt moves on. More in the Möbius guide.
• •Edpuzzle videos play through, and their multiple-choice questions are answered as the video reaches them.
• •Auto Project handles dropbox assignments: fillable PDF worksheets, written assignments and finished Classkick work, then checks Brightspace received it.
• •Auto Advance opens the next topic as soon as Brightspace marks the current one complete, and stops to tell you when a topic needs you.
• •Delays, Mute Audio and Work Hours let you control the pace and the hours Revolt runs.

What Revolt won't do

• •Other schools' Brightspace sites aren't supported yet. If your school uses Brightspace, ask in our Discord to get it on the list.
• •Timed and password-protected quizzes, quiz retakes and questions about yourself stay with you.
• •Lesson videos play at the speed your teacher set. Revolt plays them through for you; it doesn't skip them.
• •Open-ended Edpuzzle questions, Google Docs and Slides, Clever, Navigate360 and discussions aren't automated. Revolt stops and tells you, then continues.
• •Revolt never resubmits a dropbox that already has your submission and never starts a new quiz attempt.

Use it like a student would

Teachers see when you submit and how your scores look. Use Work Hours to keep Revolt running during normal school hours, set answer and submit delays, and spread your course out instead of finishing a unit overnight.

Get a key, add Revolt with the Brightspace install guide, then log into tda.brightspace.com. Revolt asks for your key once and the Revolt panel appears.
